Criminal justice clients are people who are in any kind of alcohol and drug treatment facility due to a drug or alcohol related offense. This will happen for example when someone is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, or any other type of drug related offense which has led a legal court to believe the individual has any type of drug abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in a drug rehabilitation program as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered through the judge it really is well advised that the individual try everything they're able to to take full advantage of this opportunity. In many cases, other penalties and consequences may be entirely eradicated or lessened if the individual does well in treatment and finishes the drug and alcohol rehab center that has been ordered for them. First-time offenders will be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients who do experience rehabilitation in lieu of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to time in jail or similar consequences. Ultimately, it saves the court system both time and money when criminal justice clients receive powerful treatment.
