DUI/DWI clients who're taking part in drug rehab facilities are either there on their own accord, but usually in alcohol and drug rehab due to a mandatory order from the court. DUI/DWI clients, especially initial offenders may be required to go to rehabilitation either in place of other penalties or as a part of a sentence. DUI/DWI clients may benefit greatly from rehabilitation rather than being punished for his or her crimes, and so can the judicial system. It has been established that people who are treated for drug or alcohol use issues as an alternative to other penalties being forced upon them have far better odds of staying out from the court system than people who find themselves fined, ordered to prison time, etc. In drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities DUI/DWI clients can determine why they abuse alcohol and drugs, to enable them to address these problems in order to find resolution to the actual conditions and circumstances inside their lives which trigger their substance abuse. This could truly save lives, not only the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but those who may be impacted by their substance abuse whenever they drive while intoxicated down the road. It is a real second chance for DUI/DWI clients.
