Criminal justice clients are people who are in any sort of drug and alcohol rehabilitation center due to a drug or alcohol related crime. This can occur for example if someone else is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, or for any other kind of drug related criminal offense which has led the court to think that the individual has any type of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everyone has the option of taking part in a drug rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, but if this approach is ordered by the judge it is strongly advised that the individual do everything they're able to to make the most of this opportunity. In many cases, other penalties and consequences can be completely eradicated or lessened when the individual does well in rehabilitation and finishes the alcohol and drug rehab center which was ordered for them. New offenders will be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been established that criminal justice clients who do experience rehabilitation in place of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to time in jail or similar consequences. In the end, it saves the court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients receive effective rehab.
