DUI/DWI clients that are taking part in drug and alcohol rehab programs are either there on their own accord, but most of the time in drug and alcohol rehabilitation due to a mandated court ruling. DUI/DWI clients, particularly first-time offenders could possibly be required to go to treatment either instead of other penalties or as part of their sentence.
