Criminal justice clients are those who are in any sort of alcohol and drug rehab program on account of a drug or alcohol related crime. This will happen for instance if someone is convicted of a DUI or DWI, or any other type of drug related offense which has led the judge to believe the individual has any kind of drug or alcohol use issue. Not every person has the option of getting involved in a drug rehabilitation center as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered from the court it is wise that the individual do everything they are able to to take full advantage of this opportunity. Oftentimes, other penalties and consequences could be totally eradicated or lessened in the event the individual does well in rehab and completes the alcohol and drug rehab program that is ordered for them. First-time offenders will be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients who take part in rehab instead of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to prison time or receive other penalties. In the end, it saves a legal court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients receive powerful rehab.
