Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility due to alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This can occur for instance if a person is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, and for any other kind of drug related criminal offense which has led the judge to think that the individual has any sort of substance abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in a drug treatment facility as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered by the judge it is well advised that the individual try everything they're able to to get the most from this opportunity. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences could be totally eradicated or lessened if the individual does well in treatment and finishes the drug treatment facility which was ordered for them. New offenders are the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients who experience treatment in lieu of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to jail time or receive other penalties.
