Criminal justice clients are those who are in any type of drug treatment center on account of a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This will happen for instance if someone is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, or any other type of drug related criminal offense which has led the court to think that the individual has any type of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everybody has the option of taking part in a drug treatment program as a criminal justice client, but if this approach is ordered from the judge it's wise that the individual do everything they can to make the most of this opportunity. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences can be entirely eradicated or lessened in the event the individual does well in rehabilitation and completes the alcohol and drug rehab program which was ordered for them. First time offenders are the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients who take part in treatment instead of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than those who find themselves ordered to incarceration or similar consequences. In the end, it saves the court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients obtain powerful rehabilitation.
