Partial day rehab centers treat drug or alcohol use disorders and mental health disorders which can be co-occurring. Within a partial day rehab center the individual participates in various rehabilitation services during the day and then returns home in the evening, anywhere from five to seven days per week. Partial day rehab centers are a great choice for drug or alcohol addicted folks who may not be able to pay for inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab, or who may not be able to be apart from their families whilst in inpatient or residential treatment. While in a partial day rehab center, individuals experience group, individual and even family therapy and counseling for substance abuse issues while also addressing whatever mental health issue is plaguing them. It is important to address both issues simultaneously when there is any hope for individuals maintaining any type of long-term abstinence and be able to regain a quality lifestyle. This can take several weeks because of the fact that it is a part-time rehab option, but it will be worth it to the rehab client and their families ultimately whenever they can move forward with a brand new beginning.
