DUI/DWI clients who are involved in drug and alcohol treatment centers are either there on their own accord, but most of the time in drug rehab as part of a mandated order from the court. DUI/DWI clients, particularly initial offenders might be required to go to rehabilitation either instead of other penalties or as a part of a sentence. DUI/DWI clients may benefit greatly from rehab rather than being punished for his or her crimes, and so can the court system. It has been proven that individuals who are treated for drug or alcohol use issues as an alternative to other penalties being forced upon them have much better odds of remaining out from the courts than those who are fined, ordered to incarceration, etc. In drug rehabilitation programs DUI/DWI clients can establish why they abuse alcohol and drugs, to enable them to address these issues in order to find resolution for the actual situations and circumstances in their lives which prompt their substance abuse. This will truly save lives, not just the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but people who may be impacted by their drug abuse whenever they drive while drunk or high in the foreseeable future. It's a real second chance for DUI/DWI clients.
