Criminal justice clients are people who are in any sort of drug rehabilitation facility due to a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This will occur for example when someone is found guilty of a DUI or DWI, and for any other kind of drug related criminal offense that has led a legal court to believe that the individual has any sort of substance abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of taking part in a drug rehab program as a criminal justice client, however, if this option is ordered by the court it's strongly advised that the individual do everything they can to make the most of this chance. Most of the time, other penalties and consequences can be entirely eradicated or lessened in the event the individual succeeds in rehabilitation and finishes the drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility that has been ordered for them. First-time offenders will be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients that do experience treatment in lieu of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to jail time or receive other penalties. In the long run, it saves a legal court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients obtain powerful rehab.
