Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any sort of drug rehabilitation program because of a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This will happen for instance if a person is convicted of drunk driving or DWI, or any other type of drug related crime that has led the court to believe the individual has any sort of substance abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in a drug treatment facility as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered from the court it's wise that the individual do everything they are able to to benefit from this opportunity. In many cases, other penalties and consequences can be totally eradicated or lessened when the individual does well in rehabilitation and completes the alcohol and drug rehabilitation program which was ordered for them. First-time offenders will be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients who do take part in rehabilitation instead of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to time in jail or similar consequences. In the end, it saves the court system both time and money when criminal justice clients receive powerful treatment.
