Criminal justice clients are people who are in any sort of alcohol and drug treatment center on account of alcohol or drug related crime. This will happen for instance if someone is convicted of drunk driving or DWI, or for any other type of drug related offense that has led the court to believe the individual has any type of substance abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in a drug treatment center as a criminal justice client, but when this approach is ordered by the judge it is wise that the individual try everything they are able to to make the most of this opportunity. Oftentimes, other penalties and consequences can be entirely eradicated or lessened if the individual succeeds in treatment and finishes the drug and alcohol treatment center that has been ordered for them. New offenders will be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients that take part in rehabilitation in place of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to time in jail or similar consequences. In the end, it saves the court system both time and money when criminal justice clients receive effective rehab.
