DUI/DWI clients who're taking part in drug treatment facilities are generally there by their own choice, but more often than not in drug rehabilitation due to a mandated court ruling. DUI/DWI clients, specifically first-time offenders may be required to go to rehabilitation either in place of other penalties or as a part of a sentence. DUI/DWI clients may benefit greatly from rehabilitation instead of being punished for their crimes, and so can the judicial system. It has been established that people who are treated for drug abuse issues rather than other penalties being enforced upon them have far better chances of remaining out from the court system than those who are fined, ordered to incarceration, etc. In drug and alcohol treatment centers DUI/DWI clients can establish why they abuse drugs and alcohol, in order to address these issues and find resolution for the actual conditions and circumstances within their lives which set off their substance abuse. This will certainly save lives, not only the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but those who may be impacted by their drug or alcohol use whenever they drive while intoxicated in the foreseeable future. It is a real second chance for DUI/DWI clients.
