Criminal justice clients are people who are in any sort of alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility as a result of a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This will happen for example if a person is convicted of drunk driving or DWI, and for any other type of drug related criminal offense that has led the court to believe the individual has any sort of drug abuse issue. Not every person has the option of getting involved in a drug treatment center as a criminal justice client, however, if this approach is ordered by the judge it's strongly advised that the individual try everything they are able to to take full advantage of this opportunity. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences may be totally eradicated or lessened in the event the individual succeeds in treatment and completes the drug rehabilitation facility which was ordered for them. New offenders would be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients that do take part in rehab instead of other consequences have much lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to jail time or similar consequences. Ultimately, it saves the court system both time and money when criminal justice clients receive effective rehabilitation.
