Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any kind of drug and alcohol rehabilitation program as a result of alcohol or drug related crime. This can occur for instance if a person is found guilty of a DUI or DWI, and for any other type of drug related crime that has led the court to think the individual has any sort of substance abuse issue. Not everybody has the option of taking part in a drug rehab program as a criminal justice client, but when this approach is ordered from the court it's well advised that the individual do everything they are able to to make the most of this opportunity. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences may be completely eradicated or lessened if the individual succeeds in rehab and finishes the drug and alcohol rehab facility that is ordered for them. Eventually, it saves a legal court system both time and money when criminal justice clients obtain effective treatment.
