Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any sort of drug rehab facility as a result of a drug or alcohol related crime. This can occur for example if a person is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, or for any other type of drug related crime that has led a legal court to believe that the individual has any kind of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everybody has the option of taking part in a drug rehab center as a criminal justice client, but if this approach is ordered through the judge it is strongly advised that the individual try everything they're able to to benefit from this opportunity. In many cases, other penalties and consequences can be entirely eradicated or lessened if the individual does well in rehab and finishes the drug treatment center that is ordered for them. New offenders would be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients that do experience rehab in place of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to jail time or receive other penalties. In the end, it saves the court system both money and time when criminal justice clients obtain effective rehab.
