DUI/DWI clients who're involved in drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities are either there on their own accord, but most of the time in drug rehab due to a mandated court order. DUI/DWI clients, particularly initial offenders could be ordered to treatment either in place of other penalties or as a part of a sentence. DUI/DWI clients will benefit greatly from rehab as an alternative to being punished because of their crimes, and so can the judicial system. It has been established that individuals who are treated for drug abuse issues rather than other penalties being enforced upon them have far better chances of remaining out from the courts than people who find themselves fined, ordered to incarceration, etc. In alcohol and drug rehab programs DUI/DWI clients can determine why they abuse alcohol and drugs, in order to address these problems in order to find resolution for the actual conditions and circumstances inside their lives which prompt their substance abuse. This could truly save lives, not just the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but those that may be impacted by their drug or alcohol use should they drive while intoxicated in the future. It is a real second chance for DUI/DWI clients.
