Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any sort of drug treatment program as a result of a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This will happen for example if a person is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, or for any other type of drug related crime that has led the court to believe the individual has any kind of drug abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of taking part in an alcohol and drug rehab program as a criminal justice client, however, if this option is ordered by the judge it is strongly advised that the individual do everything they're able to to benefit from this chance. In many cases, other penalties and consequences may be entirely eliminated or lessened in the event the individual succeeds in rehabilitation and finishes the alcohol and drug rehabilitation center that has been ordered for them. New offenders would be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients that experience rehab in place of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to time in jail or receive other penalties. In the end, it saves the court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive effective treatment.
