Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any kind of drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility due to alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This can occur for example if a person is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, or any other type of drug related crime which has led the court to believe that the individual has any type of drug or alcohol use issue. Not every person has the option of taking part in a drug rehab facility as a criminal justice client, however, if this option is ordered from the court it is well advised that the individual try everything they're able to to benefit from this opportunity. In many cases, other penalties and consequences could be completely eradicated or lessened when the individual does well in rehabilitation and finishes the drug treatment center which has been ordered for them. First time offenders will be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients who experience treatment in place of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to incarceration or similar consequences. Eventually, it saves a legal court system both time and money when criminal justice clients receive effective rehabilitation.
