Dual Diagnosis - Paradise

Dual diagnosis can be a circumstance whereby two independent disorders are present, and most typically describes a co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorder. A dual diagnosis will help someone that might possibly not have been able to be helped previously, put an end to drug abuse by being accurately diagnosed and treated. Their mental health disorder may have been misdiagnosed, not diagnosed at all, or mistreated which could have prompted and led to their substance abuse issues. Establishing the reality that someone is actually a dual diagnosis client not just helps establish a highly effective treatment plan for them, but can also help clients better know what led to their drug abuse and the way to prevent it in the foreseeable future. Handling dual diagnosis can be a more extensive process than a typical drug rehab program, and folks with a dual diagnosis may need to participate in an extensive aftercare program that might include appropriate medical support as well as continued rehabilitation services. Being clinically determined to have co-occurring disorders doesn't signify the person will need to be medicated through out their lives either, and in reality a lot of people with a dual diagnosis experience more effective results when treated holistically and when alternative treatment methods are employed.
