Criminal justice clients are people who are in any kind of drug rehab program as a result of a drug or alcohol related offense. This will occur for example if a person is convicted of driving under the influence or DWI, or for any other type of drug related criminal offense which has led a legal court to believe the individual has any kind of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everybody has the option of getting involved in a drug rehab facility as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered by the court it's wise that the individual do everything they're able to to benefit from this chance. In many cases, other penalties and consequences might be entirely eliminated or lessened if the individual succeeds in treatment and finishes the drug rehab program that is ordered for them. New offenders are the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients who experience rehabilitation in lieu of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to jail time or receive other penalties. Ultimately, it saves the court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive effective rehab.
