Outpatient treatment gives rehabilitation clients the chance to maintain certain obligations and elements of their way of life while getting involved in drug rehabilitation services. Outpatient treatment is a moderate amount of rehab, and should not be mistaken for the degree of treatment provided in an inpatient or residential rehab program which is much more extensive. In outpatient treatment, most programs will provide services 6 or 7 days per week on either a part-time or full time schedule for 30 days or longer in some instances.
