Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any kind of drug treatment program due to alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This can occur for example when someone is found guilty of a DUI or DWI, or any other kind of drug related crime which has led the judge to believe the individual has any kind of substance abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of taking part in a drug treatment center as a criminal justice client, however, if this option is ordered through the judge it's strongly advised that the individual do everything they are able to to get the most from this chance. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences can be completely eradicated or lessened if the individual succeeds in rehab and finishes the drug treatment center which has been ordered for them. First-time offenders are the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients who take part in rehab in place of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to prison time or receive other penalties. Eventually, it saves a legal court system both time and money when criminal justice clients receive powerful rehab.
