Criminal justice clients are those who are in any type of drug and alcohol rehab facility because of alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This will occur for example if a person is convicted of a DUI or DWI, or any other kind of drug related offense which has led a legal court to think that the individual has any sort of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everybody has the option of taking part in an alcohol and drug treatment program as a criminal justice client, but when this approach is ordered through the judge it's wise that the individual do everything they are able to to get the most from this opportunity. In many cases, other penalties and consequences could be totally eliminated or lessened when the individual does well in rehabilitation and completes the alcohol and drug treatment facility that is ordered for them. First time offenders are the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been established that criminal justice clients that experience rehabilitation in lieu of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to prison time or receive other penalties. Eventually, it saves a legal court system both money and time when criminal justice clients obtain powerful rehabilitation.
