Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any sort of drug treatment facility as a result of a drug or alcohol related offense. This will happen for example if someone is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, or any other type of drug related criminal offense that has led the judge to believe that the individual has any sort of drug abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in a drug and alcohol treatment center as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered through the judge it's strongly advised that the individual try everything they are able to to take full advantage of this chance. In many cases, other penalties and consequences can be entirely eradicated or lessened when the individual succeeds in rehab and completes the drug rehabilitation facility which has been ordered for them. New offenders are the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients who experience rehab instead of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to time in jail or receive other penalties. In the long run, it saves a legal court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients receive powerful treatment.
