DUI/DWI clients who're taking part in drug rehab facilities are either there on their own accord, but more often than not in alcohol and drug rehab due to a mandatory court ruling. DUI/DWI clients, specifically first-time offenders might be required to go to rehabilitation either in lieu of other penalties or as part of their sentence. DUI/DWI clients will benefit greatly from rehabilitation as opposed to being punished because of their crimes, and so can the judicial system. It has been established that people who are treated for drug abuse issues as an alternative to other penalties being forced upon them have greater chances of remaining out from the court system than those who find themselves fined, ordered to prison time, etc. In drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs DUI/DWI clients can determine why they abuse drugs and alcohol, in order to address these issues and find resolution for the actual situations and circumstances inside their lives which set off their substance abuse. This could truly save lives, not only the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but those that may be impacted by their drug or alcohol use if they drive while drunk or high later on. It is a real second chance for DUI/DWI clients.
