Partial day rehab centers treat drug or alcohol use disorders and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a partial day rehab center the person participates in various rehab services throughout the day then returns home at night, anywhere from five to seven days a week. Partial day rehab centers are an excellent choice for alcohol or drug addicted individuals who may not be able to pay for inpatient or residential drug rehab, or who may well not be able to be apart from their own families when in inpatient or residential rehab. Whilst in a partial day rehab center, individuals experience group, individual as well as family therapy and counseling for substance abuse issues while addressing whatever mental health issue is ailing them. It is very important to handle both issues simultaneously if there is any any expectation for individuals maintaining any sort of long-term abstinence and be able to regain a healthy lifestyle. This will take several weeks simply because it's a part-time rehab option, but it will be worth it for the rehab client along with their families ultimately when they can move forward with a fresh start.
