Partial day rehab centers treat drug abuse disorders and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a partial day rehab center the person participates in various rehab services in the daytime then returns home at nighttime, anywhere from 5 to 7 days every week. Partial day rehab centers are a perfect choice for alcohol or drug addicted people who may not be able to afford inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab, or who may not be able to be apart from their families when in inpatient or residential rehab. Whilst in a partial day rehab center, individuals experience group, individual and even family counseling and therapy for substance abuse issues whilst addressing whatever mental health disorder is ailing them. It is very important to handle both issues concurrently if there is any hope for individuals maintaining any type of long-term sobriety and be able to regain a healthy lifestyle. This can take several months because of the fact it's a part-time rehab option, but it's going to be worth it to the rehab client as well as their families eventually when they can move forward with a whole new beginning.
