Partial day rehab centers treat substance abuse disorders and mental health disorders which can be co-occurring. In a partial day rehab center the individual participates in various rehab activities in daytime then returns home later in the day, anywhere from five to seven days a week. Partial day rehab centers are a perfect choice for alcohol or drug addicted people who may not be able to afford inpatient or residential alcohol and drug treatment, or who may not have the ability to be away from their own families when in inpatient or residential rehab. While in a partial day rehab center, individuals take part in group, one-on-one and even family therapy and counseling for substance abuse issues while also handling whatever mental health disorder is ailing them. It is very important to address both issues concurrently if there is any hope for individuals maintaining any kind of long-term sobriety and be able to regain a healthy lifestyle. This will take several months due to the fact it's a part-time rehab option, but it's going to be worth it to the treatment client in addition to their families in the end when they can move forward with a whole new beginning.
