Criminal justice clients are people who are in any sort of alcohol and drug rehabilitation center as a result of a drug or alcohol related offense. This can occur for example if someone else is found guilty of a DUI or DWI, and for any other type of drug related criminal offense that has led the court to believe the individual has any sort of drug or alcohol use issue. Not every person has the option of taking part in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, however, if this approach is ordered by the judge it's strongly advised that the individual do everything they can to make the most of this opportunity. Most of the time, other penalties and consequences may be totally eliminated or lessened when the individual does well in rehabilitation and finishes the drug and alcohol rehab facility which has been ordered for them. Very first time offenders are the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients who do take part in rehab in lieu of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to incarceration or similar consequences.
