Criminal justice clients are those who are in any type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility on account of a drug or alcohol related crime. This can occur for instance if someone is convicted of a DUI or DWI, and for any other type of drug related criminal offense which has led the judge to believe the individual has any kind of substance abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of taking part in a drug and alcohol treatment center as a criminal justice client, but when this approach is ordered from the court it's wise that the individual do everything they're able to to get the most from this chance. Most of the time, other penalties and consequences could be entirely eradicated or lessened when the individual succeeds in rehabilitation and completes the drug treatment program that is ordered for them. New offenders will be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients who take part in treatment in place of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to time in jail or similar consequences. In the long run, it saves a legal court system both time and money when criminal justice clients obtain effective rehabilitation.
