DUI/DWI clients who're taking part in alcohol and drug rehab centers are either there by their own choice, but more often than not in drug rehabilitation due to a mandated court ruling. DUI/DWI clients, especially first-time offenders may be required to go to rehabilitation either instead of other consequences or as a part of a sentence. DUI/DWI clients will benefit greatly from rehab instead of being punished for their crimes, and so can the judicial system. It has been proven that people who are treated for drug or alcohol use issues instead of other penalties being forced upon them have far better odds of remaining out from the courts than people who find themselves fined, ordered to incarceration, etc. In alcohol and drug rehab centers DUI/DWI clients can establish why they abuse drugs and alcohol, so that they can address these problems and find resolution for the actual situations and circumstances inside their lives which trigger their drug or alcohol use. This may truly save lives, not only the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but those that may be impacted by their substance abuse when they drive while intoxicated in the future. This is a real second opportunity for DUI/DWI clients.
