DUI/DWI clients who're involved in drug and alcohol treatment facilities are either there on their own accord, but most of the time in drug rehabilitation due to a mandated court ruling. DUI/DWI clients, specifically initial offenders might be ordered to rehab either in lieu of other penalties or as a part of a sentence. DUI/DWI clients will benefit greatly from rehabilitation rather than being punished because of their crimes, and so can the judicial system. It has been established that individuals who are treated for drug abuse issues as opposed to other penalties being enforced upon them have much better odds of remaining out from the courts than those who find themselves fined, ordered to incarceration, etc. In drug rehabilitation programs DUI/DWI clients can determine why they abuse alcohol and drugs, in order to address these issues and find resolution to the actual situations and circumstances in their lives which trigger their drug or alcohol use. This could certainly save lives, not only the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but those who may be affected by their drug abuse when they drive while under the influence later on. It's a real second opportunity for DUI/DWI clients.
