DUI/DWI clients who're taking part in drug and alcohol treatment programs are generally there by their own choice, but more often than not in drug treatment due to a mandated order from the court. DUI/DWI clients, specifically initial offenders could be ordered to rehabilitation either in lieu of other penalties or as part of their sentence.
