Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any type of drug rehabilitation center on account of alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This can occur for example if someone is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, or for any other type of drug related offense which has led the court to believe the individual has any type of substance abuse issue. Not every person has the option of taking part in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation program as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered from the judge it is strongly advised that the individual do everything they're able to to make the most of this chance. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences could be totally eradicated or lessened when the individual succeeds in treatment and finishes the drug rehabilitation program that is ordered for them. New offenders will be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients who experience treatment in lieu of other consequences have much lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to incarceration or receive other penalties. Ultimately, it saves the court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients obtain powerful rehabilitation.
