Criminal justice clients are people who are in any kind of alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility on account of alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This will happen for example if someone else is convicted of drunk driving or DWI, or any other type of drug related offense which has led a legal court to believe that the individual has any kind of drug or alcohol use issue. Not every person has the option of getting involved in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center as a criminal justice client, but when this approach is ordered through the court it's wise that the individual try everything they're able to to make the most of this opportunity. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences may be entirely eliminated or lessened when the individual succeeds in rehab and completes the alcohol and drug rehab program that has been ordered for them. New offenders are the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients who experience rehabilitation in place of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to time in jail or receive other penalties. Eventually, it saves the court system both time and money when criminal justice clients receive effective rehabilitation.
