Criminal justice clients are people who are in any type of alcohol and drug treatment center because of a drug or alcohol related offense. This can occur for example if someone is convicted of driving under the influence or DWI, or for any other type of drug related offense which has led the judge to believe that the individual has any sort of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everyone has the option of taking part in a drug and alcohol treatment center as a criminal justice client, but when this approach is ordered from the court it's wise that the individual do everything they are able to to get the most from this chance. Oftentimes, other penalties and consequences can be totally eradicated or lessened if the individual does well in rehab and finishes the alcohol and drug rehabilitation program that has been ordered for them. New offenders would be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been established that criminal justice clients that do take part in rehabilitation in lieu of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to time in jail or similar consequences. Eventually, it saves the court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive powerful rehab.
