DUI/DWI clients who're taking part in drug rehabilitation facilities are either there on their own accord, but most of the time in alcohol and drug rehab due to a mandated court ruling. DUI/DWI clients, specifically initial offenders may be ordered to rehabilitation either in place of other penalties or as part of their sentence. DUI/DWI clients will benefit greatly from rehabilitation instead of being punished for their crimes, and so can the judicial system. It has been verified that those who are treated for substance abuse issues as opposed to other penalties being enforced upon them have far better chances of remaining out from the court system than those people who are fined, ordered to incarceration, etc. In drug rehabilitation centers DUI/DWI clients can determine why they abuse drugs and alcohol, to enable them to address these issues in order to find resolution to the actual situations and circumstances within their lives which prompt their drug or alcohol use.
