Outpatient treatment gives treatment clients the opportunity to maintain specific responsibilities and aspects of their life-style while getting involved in alcohol and drug rehab services. Outpatient treatment is a moderate degree of rehabilitation, and shouldn't be mistaken for the amount of rehab offered in an inpatient or residential rehab program that is significantly more extensive. Outpatient treatment might be ideal for someone who has a short history of drug or alcohol use for instance, but will certainly not be sufficient for a person whose rehabilitation needs go beyond what outpatient treatment is able to provide.
