It has been determined that individuals who are treated for drug or alcohol use issues instead of other penalties being forced upon them have far better odds of staying out of the courts than those who find themselves fined, ordered to jail time, etc. In drug and alcohol treatment centers DUI/DWI clients can ascertain why they abuse drugs and alcohol, to be able to address these problems in order to find resolution for the actual conditions and circumstances in their lives which prompt their substance abuse. This can truly save lives, not just the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but people who may be impacted by their drug or alcohol use if they drive while under the influence in the future.
