Partial day rehab centers treat drug or alcohol use disorders and mental health disorders that could be co-occurring. Inside a partial day rehab center the person participates in various rehab activities in the daytime then returns home at night, anywhere from five to seven days per week. Partial day rehab centers are a great alternative for drug or alcohol addicted people who may be unable to afford inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab, or who might not be able to be apart from their own families when in inpatient or residential rehabilitation. Whilst in a partial day rehab center, individuals experience group, one-on-one and even family counseling and therapy for substance abuse issues whilst handling whatever mental health issue is plaguing them. It is important to handle both issues simultaneously when there is any any expectation for individuals maintaining any kind of long-term sobriety and be able to regain a quality lifestyle. This may take several weeks because of the fact that it is a part-time rehab option, but it will likely be worthwhile to the rehabilitation client as well as their families eventually when they can proceed with a new start.
