Criminal justice clients are people who are in any sort of alcohol and drug treatment facility as a result of a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This will happen for instance when someone is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, or any other kind of drug related crime which has led the court to think the individual has any kind of drug or alcohol use issue. Not every person has the option of getting involved in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered by the judge it is wise that the individual do everything they're able to to take full advantage of this chance. In many cases, other penalties and consequences may be completely eradicated or lessened if the individual succeeds in rehabilitation and completes the drug rehab program that has been ordered for them. New offenders would be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been established that criminal justice clients who experience treatment in place of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to prison time or receive other penalties. Eventually, it saves the court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients obtain powerful treatment.
