Since many individuals can't afford health coverage or their jobs don't offer any type of private health coverage, many states offer state insurance for individuals who can't seem to get hold of private medical insurance. State insurance covers general health care services, but often times also covers rehabilitation for drug or alcohol use in a number of rehabilitation settings. State insurance will allow for individuals to receive high quality care, when they would otherwise not have access to this type of opportunity as a consequence of no health coverage and not being able to self pay. State insurance covers rehab in either an outpatient drug treatment program or even an inpatient or residential program if it treatment is deemed necessary. The long-term inpatient and residential drug and alcohol treatment facilities paid for by state insurance are the more superior treatment alternative if available, though it may be a bigger commitment the results and long-term outcomes are much more evident as compared to less extensive programs such as outpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs. When someone has state insurance and wants to find out more about their rehabilitation choices they could speak to their local state insurance office or work with a drug treatment center of preference who may already have this information and can get clients started in rehabilitation straight away.
