Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any kind of drug and alcohol rehab program because of a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This can occur for example if a person is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, or for any other type of drug related crime that has led the court to believe that the individual has any sort of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everyone has the option of taking part in a drug rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, but when this approach is ordered from the judge it is well advised that the individual try everything they're able to to benefit from this chance. In many cases, other penalties and consequences could be entirely eradicated or lessened in the event the individual succeeds in rehab and finishes the alcohol and drug treatment center that is ordered for them. First-time offenders are the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients who do experience rehab in place of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to jail time or similar consequences. Ultimately, it saves the court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients obtain effective rehab.
