Criminal justice clients are people who are in any sort of drug rehab center due to a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This will happen for instance if a person is convicted of driving under the influence or DWI, or for any other type of drug related crime that has led the judge to think that the individual has any sort of drug abuse issue. Not everybody has the option of getting involved in a drug treatment center as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered through the judge it is wise that the individual try everything they are able to to make the most of this chance. Oftentimes, other penalties and consequences may be completely eliminated or lessened if the individual does well in rehab and finishes the drug rehab program that is ordered for them. New offenders will be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients that do experience rehab instead of other consequences have much lower recidivism rates than those who find themselves ordered to prison time or similar consequences. Ultimately, it saves the court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive powerful rehabilitation.
