Partial day rehab centers treat drug abuse disorders and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In the partial day rehab center the person participates in various rehabilitation services in daytime then returns home later in the day, anywhere from 5 to 7 days per week. Partial day rehab centers are an excellent choice for alcohol or drug addicted people who may not be able to pay for inpatient or residential drug rehab, or who might not be able to be apart from their loved ones whilst in inpatient or residential rehabilitation. While in a partial day rehab center, individuals take part in group, individual and in many cases family counseling and therapy for substance abuse issues while also addressing whatever mental health disorder is ailing them. It is important to address both issues simultaneously if there is any any expectation for individuals maintaining any kind long-term sobriety or being able to regain a healthy lifestyle. This will take several weeks due to the fact it's a part-time rehab option, but it will be worthwhile to the rehabilitation client and their families ultimately whenever they can move forward with a brand new beginning.
