Outpatient treatment gives rehabilitation clients the ability to maintain specific responsibilities and aspects of their way of life while getting involved in alcohol and drug rehab services. Outpatient treatment is a moderate level of rehabilitation, and shouldn't be mistaken for the amount of rehab provided within an inpatient or residential rehabilitation setting that is significantly more extensive. Outpatient treatment might be ideal for a person who has a short history of substance abuse for instance, but will certainly not be sufficient for an individual whose treatment needs exceed that which outpatient treatment is prepared to offer. In outpatient treatment, clients can benefit from group and one-on-one counseling, along with family counseling services. In outpatient treatment, most facilities will provide services 6 or 7 days each week on either a part-time or full-time basis for four weeks or longer in some instances.
