DUI/DWI clients who are taking part in drug rehab centers are generally there by their own choice, but more often than not in drug rehabilitation as part of a mandated court ruling. DUI/DWI clients, specifically initial offenders may be required to go to rehab either instead of other consequences or as a part of a sentence. DUI/DWI clients will benefit greatly from rehabilitation instead of being punished for his or her crimes, and so can the judicial system. It has been proven that individuals who are treated for drug or alcohol use issues rather than other penalties being forced upon them have greater chances of remaining out from the courts than those people who are fined, ordered to incarceration, etc. In alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers DUI/DWI clients can establish why they abuse drugs and alcohol, to enable them to address these issues in order to find resolution to the actual conditions and circumstances within their lives which set off their drug or alcohol use. This may truly save lives, not only the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but those that may be impacted by their drug or alcohol use should they drive while intoxicated in the future. This is a real second opportunity for DUI/DWI clients.
