Criminal justice clients are people who are in any sort of alcohol and drug treatment facility as a result of a drug or alcohol related offense. This will occur for example if a person is convicted of drunk driving or DWI, or for any other kind of drug related criminal offense which has led the court to believe that the individual has any sort of drug abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in a drug rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered from the court it's wise that the individual try everything they are able to to take full advantage of this opportunity. In many cases, other penalties and consequences can be completely eradicated or lessened when the individual succeeds in rehab and finishes the drug and alcohol rehab facility which has been ordered for them. First-time offenders would be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients who do experience rehabilitation instead of other consequences have much lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to time in jail or similar consequences. In the end, it saves the court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients obtain powerful rehabilitation.
