Criminal justice clients are those who are in any kind of alcohol and drug treatment facility on account of alcohol or drug related crime. This will happen for example if someone is convicted of drunk driving or DWI, or for any other kind of drug related offense which has led a legal court to believe the individual has any sort of drug or alcohol use issue. Not every person has the option of taking part in a drug rehab center as a criminal justice client, but if this approach is ordered by the court it is wise that the individual try everything they can to benefit from this opportunity. Oftentimes, other penalties and consequences can be totally eliminated or lessened when the individual does well in treatment and completes the drug and alcohol rehab center which has been ordered for them. New offenders will be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been established that criminal justice clients who do experience treatment in lieu of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to incarceration or similar consequences. Eventually, it saves the court system both time and money when criminal justice clients obtain powerful treatment.
